A Sustainable TreeHouse is the culmination of my Exhibition Design thesis project. A part of the the Season Long Sculpture Garden at the Figment Arts Festival, this was a granted project. The Sustainable TreeHouse is an exercise in the use of reclaimed and sustainably produced materials. Along with being a design challenge, it is a playground for kids and adults to use their imaginations to interact with the space.

This project was filed with the NYC Department of Buildings and is an up to code public structure. The architect of record was Sean P Krause. You can check him out at http://spka.net/

Other contributing artists were:

Anastasia Sokolik with "Land, Sea, Sky" You can check out her work at http://sokolikart.com.

Eve S. Mosher who provided the plants for the planter we built off the balcony. http://evemosher.com/

Volunteer

To have the TreeHouse open, I need volunteers to watch the TreeHouse this is a low stress job of making sure people don't overcrowd the house. Dates are open Friday-Sundays until the end of September. If you'd like to take a day on the island to babysit the TreeHouse, please contact me at beenjamminj@gmail.com
